City Centre manager, Tom Moore, said: “Many of the traders coming from the continent are now old friends from previous markets and sought out by the public. We’ll also be welcoming a number of newcomers to Aberdeen and they’ll be adding to the variety of items on offer.”

During the four days of trading, there were 60 stalls open, with their fronts collectively stretching 450 metres. They included stalls selling quality cheeses from all over Europe, mulled wine, Bavarian beers, olives from Spain and Italy and quality clothing from France. Town Centre Manager Ged Gibbons said: “St Helens hosted its first continental market last year and there was another in the summer. Each time it has grown in size and popularity.”
